It all started with a kiss. We were happily dating and decided we were ready for the next step. #Marriage.
I don't know about you but wedding planning was a blast! The joy of being able to pick out exactly what you want and make every decision was fun...at first. Then the new wears off and you're ready to run away and marry in Vegas #vegaswedding Yes, we contemplated this!
Be intentional with your wedding budget. Prioritize your needs and wants.

After you have decided to get married first and foremost set a budget! Seriously, make out a list and put an amount by each category. For example, flowers $300, venue $1,000. Go through every step and put a dollar amount by it. By far you're most expensive thing will be catering! We splurged here and really went over the top with a Philly cheese-steak nacho bar! Let's all say it together, YUMMM! We had the extra money so why not splurge?! We opted to get married on a Friday because it saved us $2,000. I am not kidding! Do your research here. If you get married on any day but a Saturday you will save a ton of money on everything! We purchased our flowers through the clearance section on afloral.com. Could you tell we had clearance flowers at our wedding? Nope, not at all! I wasn't picky so whatever was the cheapest I picked!
I continued with the clearance theme and bought my wedding dress off the clearance rack. Again, it was my style and fit like a glove! My point. Spend your money intentionally on your wedding. Yes, you are only supposed to get married once but one night doesn't need to wreck you financially for the rest of your married life. Be wise and reasonable. You do not need a $5,000 dress your only going to wear once. You do not need $3,000 flowers that will die the next day. Marriage is a beautiful unity that God gave us. Honor him in all your decisions, especially financial ones! #smartwedding
